Manila, Philippines—The international Padel scene witnessed an exciting milestone in the Philippines as the FIP Bronze Reap Manila made its debut on the CUPRA FIP Tour 2025. As the first official international Padel tournament of the year in the country, this landmark event, organized by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and the Philippine Padel Association (PPA), signified the Philippines’ growing influence in the sport.
Held at Manila Padel Club in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) from March 21-23, 2025, the tournament showcased top-tier athletes from around the world and competed for crucial FIP ranking points and a €7,000 prize pool. Notably, this competition also shone a spotlight on women’s Padel, celebrating the rise of Filipina athletes and international female players who continued to elevate the sport.

Women Drove the Growth of Padel in the Philippines
At the helm of Philippine Padel’s expansion was Alenna Dawn, Founder and President of the Philippine Padel Association. A visionary leader, Dawn was instrumental in positioning the country as a regional hub for Padel, following the successful FIP RISE Manila in 2024.
“This is a major milestone for Philippine Padel,” said Alenna Dawn. “The FIP Bronze Reap Manila provided our local players with a platform to compete at an international level and also showcased the Philippines as a prime destination for world-class Padel tournaments.”
A Strong Women’s Field: International & Local Talent
The tournament featured elite female Padel players, led by Ana Domínguez Gracia (#73, Spain) and Carla Touly (#82, France)—the top-seeded women’s pair in the competition. Their participation underscored the rising level of women’s Padel internationally, with the Philippines providing a stage for top talent.
On the home front, the Philippine Women’s Padel Team made a strong statement, with notable players including:
Jessica Agra—Captain of the Philippine Women’s Padel Team and recipient of the All-Women’s Sports Award. A trailblazer in Philippine Padel, Agra continued to inspire aspiring female athletes.
Bambi & Bien Zoleta—The Zoleta sisters, well-known figures in Philippine racket sports, brought experience and skill, having competed at high levels of both Padel and tennis.
Their presence in the tournament symbolized the growing strength of Filipina athletes in Padel, further reinforcing the country’s commitment to developing the sport.
Women’s Padel on the Rise in Asia
With Padel’s increasing popularity in Asia, the CUPRA FIP Tour served as a crucial platform for both seasoned professionals and up-and-coming players to rise through the global rankings. The FIP Bronze Reap Manila offered an invaluable opportunity for Filipina athletes to gain international exposure and compete against the world’s best.

Moreover, with women’s sports receiving increased recognition, the tournament aligned with the broader movement of empowering female athletes, fostering diversity, and ensuring that women had equal representation on the global Padel stage.

A Tournament to Remember
As the first FIP-sanctioned event of 2025 in the Philippines, the FIP Bronze Reap Manila drew attention from the international Padel community, global media, and sports enthusiasts.
