At just five years old, Gracia’s world was shattered. After losing her father, she faced abandonment from her mother and was left in the care of an uncle who subjected her to three years of unimaginable abuse. Alone and voiceless, she endured pain no child should ever experience. But amid the darkness, a spark of courage flickered—and that spark led her to seek help.
Rescued by the police and referred to Voice of the Free, Gracia found refuge at the Center of Hope—a place where broken spirits are mended with compassion, patience, and unconditional love. Through trauma-informed care and the unwavering support of people who believed in her, Gracia slowly learned to rebuild what was taken from her: trust, hope, and the ability to dream.
Today, Gracia is not just surviving—she is thriving. Now in her second year of college, pursuing a degree in Psychology, she is determined to transform her pain into purpose. With strength and grace, she hopes to one day help others who have faced similar battles, guiding them toward healing and freedom.
Her incredible journey will be shared with the world in a powerful way at the upcoming All Women’s Run Asia Year 3. Gracia’s artwork, a reflection of her heart and resilience, will be displayed and showcased—a living testament to survival, hope, and the beauty that can emerge from even the deepest wounds.
Each brushstroke on her canvas speaks of bravery. Each color tells a story of rising beyond despair. And every piece will remind all women who see it that they, too, are capable of overcoming, of healing, and of turning pain into something powerful and beautiful.
Gracia’s story is not just hers—it’s a story for every woman who has ever felt broken, reminding us all that there is hope, there is light, and there is art in survival.
