At just 16 years old, Loren’s world was marked by pain and unimaginable hardship. Rescued from the horrors of sex trafficking and battling drug dependency, she arrived at Voice of the Free’s Center of Hope with heavy burdens on her young shoulders. But within those walls of safety, something incredible began: a story of hope, courage, and transformation.
Loren’s journey was not easy. A young mother carrying the weight of trauma, addiction, and uncertainty for her future, she had every reason to feel defeated. But slowly, with the support of mentors, counselors, and fellow survivors, she found the strength to heal. At the Center of Hope, Loren not only began her path to recovery—she started dreaming again.
Art became one of her lifelines—a canvas for the emotions she couldn’t yet put into words and a testament to resilience and rebirth. Every brushstroke tells a story of pain transformed into beauty, fear turned into courage, and despair reshaped into hope.
Today, Loren is a second-year Dental technology student, pursuing a career that once seemed impossible. Beyond her studies, she has become a passionate advocate against human trafficking, raising her voice alongside others who have lived through the same darkness. Through survivor-led initiatives at the Voice of the Free, she speaks not just for herself but for countless girls who deserve freedom, dignity, and a chance to dream.
Her art at this year’s All Women’s Run Asia Year 3 is a reminder that hope is never out of reach. Her story, from brokenness to empowerment, is a call to action—to protect, support, and believe in the potential of every woman and girl.

As we run, celebrate, and stand in solidarity with women from all walks of life, may we carry with us stories like Loren’s — stories of hope that inspire us to believe in second chances and the unstoppable power of the human spirit.
