As we celebrate women’s month, we have put together a series of events to further promote 360-degrees wellness to women from sports to workouts to talks.

Why Us?

Filipinas have been struggling to find their space in sports since we can remember. And while we’ve taken some big strides thanks to the wins of our Filipina athletes, there is still much work to be done. In the course of the years, there are 3 major facets to sexism in sports: Representation, Coverage, and Opportunities.

Representation

Out of 389 Olympic athletes, only 12.3% are women. Yet 33% of the medals were brought home by Filipinas.

Coverage

Women’s sports receive only around 4% of all sports media coverage, with less than 10% of sports broadcasters being female.

Opportunities

Aside from cheer dancing, flag football is the only other team sport that plays coed. Out of 52 national sports associations, only 8 are led by women.
